Bring The Family & Fido To Ascot Hills Park

Ascot Hills Park

Get the crew out of the house and bring the pups for the upcoming Hiking with Santa Family Christmas Hike at Ascot Hills Park. The hike is slow-paced, perfect for little ones and beginner hikers. Enjoy views of Los Angeles, fresh air. And create new outdoor family memories. The event is free, donations are accepted, and an RSVP is required. Hike with Santa and helpers this December 19, 2021, 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm.

Time To Unwind

The end of the year usually means a busier than usual social calendar. So perhaps find a few moments to catch your breath with this virtual gentle yoga class, which is also free to attend. Joyce Wu leads the classes in Los Angeles Area; her “mission is to make yoga accessible and inclusive for everyone…”

Now And Zen

Participants can take part from the comfort of their space via Zoom. You do not have to appear on camera to participate. The next class is on Saturday, December 18, 2021, 6:00 pm – 7:15 pm PST. Wu shares that the course is for anyone who is finding themselves “…exhausted, stressed out, burnt out, or just looking to relax and nourish your mind, body, and spirit…” For registration and more information on the next session, visit.

Santas, Elves, & Reindeer In The Streets Of Santa Monica (Santa Monica Pub Crawl)

SANTA Monica Pub Crawl

Celebrating 13 years strong, the Santa Monica Pub Crawl is festive fun for adults and one of the fun things to do in LA, supports local businesses, and gives back. Over the past 12 years, the crawl raised enough for half a million meals for the Westside Foodbank. Over a dozen locations are participating, and every $5 will feed 20 people in need. Get into your holiday costume for this one!

The Christmas Day Lake Show

The Lakers are practically the mascot of Los Angeles, and purple and yellow are always in fashion. But, while most of us will be in matching holiday pajamas and kicking back, the NBA has five games on the roster for 12/25/21. The NBA started the now annual tradition of Christmas day games back in 1947. Can you name who scored the most points ever (in a single Christmas day game)? The answer is Bernard King, of the Knicks, who scored 60 points (vs. the Nets) on Christmas of 1984. Jerry West of Lakers’ fame holds the Christmas 1963 record with 47 points. Learn more about the history of the holiday NBA games.

Who Will Be Courtside This Christmas?

Tune in this year at 5:00 pm PST, 12/25/21 for Brooklyn Nets at the Los Angeles Lakers. Or, if you have been extra good, ask Santa for tickets to the game at the Staples Center! They also play on 12/31/21 (vs. The Portland Trailblazers) if New Year’s eve is more your jam.

Shop Small In Lakewood At The Holiday Outdoor Market

Cross off any last-minute gifts on your list while supporting small businesses, vendors, and artists at this upcoming family-friendly pop-up event. Event founder, Cimone Metoyer, seeks to empower women and help them to feel their best. The pop-ups are held throughout the year at the holiday outdoor market, offering space “…for women to come together in the spirit of fun, laughter, support and quality products.”

Conscious Shopping Experience Plus Ugly Sweaters

Find one-of-a-kind gifts and enjoy live music while you shop. To help get into the holiday spirit, wear your ugly Christmas sweater! Enlightened Lady Pop Up. Saturday, December 18, 2021, 10 am – 4 pm. Lakewood Center Mall., Lakewood, CA, 90712. Head to the mall parking lot, Lakewood Blvd side (next to El Torito).

From Broadway To The Pantages Theater, Hollywood

Pantages Theater

The fan frenzy over the musical Hamilton has been going strong since its Broadway debut in 2015. The (book) and musical tell the story of the American founding father, Alexander Hamilton. If you had difficulty staying awake in history class, get ready for a fun history lesson in musical form at the Pantages Theater. Hamilton is unlike any other historical musical as the score features pop, soul, and hip hop with a generous sprinkle of show tunes. If you doubt the cult status, consider that it’s been performed 1,916 times and is said to have grossed $649,868,682 at the box office. Snag tickets while you can to see Hamilton live on stage at the historic Pantages Theater.

LA Zoo Lights, A Holiday Light Experience

Indeed a sight to be seen this holiday season, experience the zoo at night! LA Zoo Lights illuminates the zoo with life-like creatures and holiday decorations that glow, twinkle and dance. See lights transformed into animals large and small, from frogs, meerkats to jungle cats.

Under The Stars

A unique feature at this year’s LA Zoo Lights is the world’s largest illuminated pop-up storybook! Enjoy and explore at your own pace on a self-guided tour that takes approximately 60-90 minutes: light animals, interactive light displays, and a majestic 200-foot tunnel of twinkling and dancing lights will illuminate your night. Not to be missed event runs through January 9, 2022, 6:00 – 10:00 pm. Tickets are required.
