  • 1 Tablespoon of kosher salt
  • I teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

INGREDIENTS FOR THE COATING

  • 2 big eggs
  • 4 tablespoons hot sauce like Tabasco
  • 2 cups of flour
  • Vegetable oil

HOT SAUCE INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of garlic powder

PROCEDURE

Now that you have all your ingredients, the next step is the actual making of the Nashville hot chicken. Get your apron and cooking spirit and get ready to cook.

The first step is the arrangement of chicken into the baking dish. Wipe the body of the chicken dry with a paper towel. You will then rub the body with a mixture of kosher salt and black pepper. Cover the pan and put it in a freezer for 4 hours or up to 24 hours.

Put some oil in the frying pan up to 2 – 4 inches and heat the oil to about 325 F.

In another separate bowl, mix the eggs, the milk, and the hot sauce. After mixing it thoroughly, pour the mixture into a separate bowl and the flour in another separate bowl too.

The next step is to remove the chicken. Allow it to drip for some minutes outside before you fry it. Dropping it in the oil immediately after you remove it from the freezer will lower the temperature of the oil. dip the chicken in the flour and thoroughly coat it with the flour.

Remove the chicken from the flour and do the same for it in the mixture of egg and milk. Remove the chicken from the mixture and dip it into the flour mixed with salt and pepper one more time until it is thoroughly coated with flour. Do the same for all the chicken.

The next step is to fry the chicken in hot oil. Fry the chicken in small batches until you are through. This process will take about 15 to 20 minutes. Drop the chicken on a pan with a cooling rack and place the pan in an oven.

In another separate bowl, mix the cayenne pepper, brown sugar, paprika, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and garlic powder. Add about ½ cup of the hot cooking oil that you used to fry the chicken. Stir the mixture until you have an even blend.

Apply the mixture to the chicken using a brush. Use your brush to stir the oil frequently as you are applying it to the chicken.

Serve it with white bread and pickles.

You can also enjoy a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the process is almost the same. All you will need to prepare is your slaw. The process of preparing your hot chicken is still the same.
